For each pet there are 5 different skin types, the original and four 'Special Editions.'
How to Obtain Pets
In order to get a pet, you must first obtain a Pet Token. The Pet Token Quest is not available in game and you must either
Once you have a token, bring it to a Pet Shop and use the Vending Machine to receive a pet. The pet you receive is chosen at random; you do not have the ability to choose the pet that you get from the Vending Machine.
Obtaining Special Edition Pets
Pets obtained through tokens are the original editions only. To obtain any of the 'Special Edition' skinned pets, you must either
- Participate in a Promotion giving away special edition pets.
- Purchase them from other players.
'Special Edition' pets function in all ways the same as the original version and differ only in their looks.
Trading Pets Safely
There are several ways to safely trade pets with another player:
- Screen Shots - The most important thing in doing trades is to always take screen shots of the trade as well as the conversation prior to the trade.
You can take a screen shot by pushing the Print Screen button on your keyboard. - Third Person - You can ask a willing Game Sage to be the middle man and assist you with the trade. Since Game Sages are trusted players, you will be safe from scams.
- Duel - You can have the person that is trading with you summon their pet and then duel you so you can hurt the pet a little bit and verify to some degree that the pet being traded to you is actually the pet that you saw.

Using the Pet Console
Using the pet window OK! So you received your pet, what next? Well, in your menu, click the little Pig icon to bring up your pet status box, or use the command ctrl + v. There you will see a little window with your new pet in it along with its HP, MP, EXP and other stats. You will also see 5 buttons to the left of the window.
Pet menu:
- Feed - Give your pet an item to eat.
- Summon - Call your pet out to battle with you.
- Banish - DELETES YOUR PET.
- Play - Plays with your pet to raise its loyalty.
- Command - Just like right clicking your pet
People hit the Banish button while trying to press the Summon button and accidentally delete their pet. I would try your best not to press this, as it is right next to the summon button. To avoid this, you can minimize the pet status box by clicking the minimize button next to the X on the top right corner of the pet window. This is also helpful because it is a compact version of your pets status and can be put next to your status bar in the left corner for easy and convenient keeping!
Minimized version of the pet menu:
- Whistle - Calls/Retreats your pet
- Bone - Feeds your pet
- Ball - Play with your pet
As you can tell, there is no banish button on the minimized version, so it is much safer. You can also right click directly on your pet to see his commands.
Right click pet commands:
- Attack - Attacks target. Use this when you want your pet to solo.
- Alert - Your pet attacks anything that attacks you, or that you attack.
- Follow - Your pet follows you no matter if you are fighting or not until you tell it to attack.
- Special Skill - Uses your pets special skill, this is different from the one he will automatically use.
- Stay - Tells your pet to stay in a certain spot until you call or change zones.
- Recycle - Retreats your pet.
The great thing about these right click commands is that you can click on the button and drag it into the hot key bar. This saves a lot of time. You don't have to right click on your pet all the time to command it, and if your pet is in trouble, it is a quick retreat out of danger. Stay is also helpful when you are training your pet in a dangerous area and don't want it to die. You can make him stay at the entrance and not have to worry about him! The special skill is unique to all the pets, more is described in pet skills in the pet's own page.
Pet Loyalty
Loyalty is a gauge of how much your pet loves you. If loyalty drops below 50, the pet will stop responding to commands and if it drops below 30 it has a chance of permanently leaving the player. As loyalty decreases to 0, it will obey less often and have a higher chance of running away when summoned. Note that "playing" with a pet isn't considered summoning it, so if a pet has low loyalty, you can still play with it without the risk of it running away.
- Gaining Loyalty: Loyalty can be increased by playing with your pet, feeding it a Pet Treat, obtainable at the Pet Shop, or using Fidelity Fruit, obtainable at the ITEM MALL
- Losing Loyalty: Ten points of Loyalty is lost when the player dies or the pet dies. One point of Loyalty is lost each day (every 24 hours).
