Talk to Baby Burglar on the Swan Lake map. You will need upwards of 300 gold to buy a key. (Note1: If you say no, and talk to him again the amount changes. It will either go up or down. Keep doing it until you get a good price. This also works when talking to the Between Bruglar) After talking to Baby Burglar, go to the mines in Eversun South and talk to Between Burglar who will charge you for a mold of the key. (See Note1) After you have the mold, go back to the Swan Lake map and head past Tranquilton to the locksmith, who will charge you 36 gold for the key. Head back up to Tranquilton (on the same map) and speak to Big Burglar and then the Chest. You will get two items to take to Bridget Love (Near where the locksmith was). Talk to Bridget Love and say no to both her questions. She will reveal she is the Theif Boss and gift you with the thief qualification.

Walkthrough

Head off to Collington to find an old friend of Roland Penn's named Stuart Stamp who can be found just outside the bank at X:284, Y:277. Stuart will only give you the information you want if you can beat him in a game of "High or Low", and each gamble will cost you 200gold. If you manage to beat stuart then he will explain to you that Rolan Penn is supply training at Quintuple Manor which is to the east of Grassgreen Square.

Head north to Grassgreen Square and then east to Quintuple Manor, and once you're there find a small kid up by a man named Windsor the Miser. The kid will tell you that to talk to Roland PennRoland Penn you will need to deal with his "infernal gadgets" and destroy them in the right order. Now there are three Gadgets (look like small rock monsters) to deal with, but the combination in which you destroy them is random. Each gadget has a ton of hit points, but the trick to defeating them is to use pilfer/pillage to get a machine part from them, which when it is used against the Gadgets while fighting one will deal massive damage to it. When you have destroyed the right gadget 'using one of the machine part piler/pillage from the or other Gadgets against it' there will be a bit of red text saying "Machine # is open!". Each machine part pilfer/pillge may work on the same Gadget or against the other Gadgets to open it. Here is a list of where each of the gadgets is.

Gadget 1: x240, y283 (east of your starting posistion)

Gadget 2: x136, y266 (west of your starting posistion)

Gadget 3: x172, y164 (just north of the middle building, against the wall)

example: Machine part pilfer/pillage from gadget 1 might not work on gadget 1 or 2, but will work on gadget 3, to open it as "machine 1 is open". machine part pilfer/pillage from gadget 2 might not work on gadget 2 or 3, but will work on gadget 1, to open it as "machin 2 is open". machine part pilfer/pillage from gadget 3 will work on gadget 1, opening the last and finished. "each machine part works differently on each gadget and defers from each players."

Next you will find yourself in a cutscene with Roland Penn, before he can give you the map the human female thief you meet in the previous life quest will run in and steal it. Afterwards you will be outside the front gate of the Quintuple Manor and you are rewarded with 300 points of fame, a Thief's spring and the title of Thief.
