You are never alone in the lands of Iris, wherever you are you are never more than a stones throw from something that wants to eat you, skin you or see what your insides are made of. Monsters and enemies (commonly referred to as mobs) are scattered throughout the lands, and it’s a good thing too! These mobs will be your main source of income, advancement and game play. Killing mobs will reward you with item drops, gold, rare items, quest items and of course valuable experience and skill experience.

Aggression

Not all Mobs want to tear you limb from limb, there are different types of mob behaviour meaning sometimes you will have to be the aggressor.

  • Passive - Passive mobs will not attack you unless you attack them.
  • Aggressive - Aggressive mobs will attack you if you get too close.
  • Aggro-aided - Aggro-aided mobs can be aggressive or passive, when you attack or are attacked by a mob that is aggro-aided mobs of the same type in the area instantly become aggressive towards you.

Be warned if you bite off more than you can chew, mobs will follow you for a very long time. They can be incredibly hard to shake off turning the hunter into the hunted!

Color Coding

As you advance through the lands and grow in power you will start to notice that mob names can be different colors. This color coding can is a valuable piece of information for the aspiring adventurer…. It makes you know how hard will be the mob and how much exp-sp will you gain.

  • Red named mobs - Very hard, give very high experience and very low skill experience.
  • Yellow named mobs - A little hard, give high experience and low skill experience.
  • White named mobs - Average, give a good balance of experience and skill experience.
  • Green named mobs - Easy, low experience and average skill experience.
  • Blue named mobs - Very easy, very low experience and low skill experience.

This does not always run true but it is a good guide as to what to expect from your kills. Following in game quests will usually point you in the right direction, killing white named mobs is the best balance and the mobs will not obliterate you in one hit. For farming skill points most people will recommend killing green names only.
